Circle Founder & Clinical Director

Gayle Hammill

Gayle has been a practising psychotherapeutic counsellor for the last eleven years. Gayle started her initial training counselling those with a cancer diagnosis and their families. Gayle then gained experience working with parents and children alongside teams including health visitors, social workers, teachers and other professionals.

Gayle sees children, adults, couples and families within the practice and has a specialist interest in anxiety and trauma and working with couples in therapy.

Gayle has extensive experience within private practice over the last ten years and has experience working with multidisciplinary teams including working alongside psychologists during her initial training.

Gayle sees children, adults, couples and families at Circle. She also offers clinical supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists and other professionals. Gayle teaches our Level 5 Diploma In counselling Children and also teaches and supervises counselling students with Langley Training.

Stella Clark

Stella has been part of the Circle Team for five years. Stella brings her extensive knowledge and experience in supporting adults, children and young people. Stella is qualified to specialise in child and young people counselling. Stella has experience in agency settings including counselling individuals with cancer, life affecting health conditions and loss. Bereavement and loss are areas of interest for Stella and she brings her experience in these areas to Circle.

Stella has extensive experience in supporting children with ASD/ADHD. She also works with children who have had or have medical issues that affect their psychological wellbeing. Stella is a support tutor on our Level 5 Diploma In Counselling Children.

Stella has a warm and gentle approach to her counselling and is a passionate practitioner.

Stella can support you with anxiety, stress, low mood and depression, loss and bereavement, illness in the family, self harm, relationship issues, changes in the family.

Lisa Allen

Lisa has been a part of the team at Circle for three years. Lisa brings her wealth of experience in supporting young people as well as adults. Lisa is an Integrative Psychotherapeutic counsellor. Lisa has worked in agency settings supporting adults with abuse, anxiety, low mood and depression, suicidal thoughts, trauma, self harm and many more challenges. Lisa supports children aged 5 upwards at Circle alongside her teenage clients and adult clients.

Lisa has a warm and honest style to her approach and is passionate about supporting mental health.

Lisa can support you with anxiety, stress, low mood and depression, self harm, suicidal thoughts, abuse, work stress, life changes, issues within families and self esteem.

Clare South

Clare joined our team as a student completing her Level 7 Masters degree in Counselling Children & Young People. Having completed her training, Clare has joined our Circle team to continue her work with children and young people.

Clare brings extensive knowledge and experience working with children in the education sector. Clare has worked both in schools and private practice with children as a therapist.

Clare also has experience supporting clients with bereavement and those living with cancer.

Clare is an integrative therapist using a range of therapeutic approaches including creative work, sand therapy, systems and narrative therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy to meet the varying needs of her clients. Clare has a calm supportive and adaptive approach to her counselling. Clare’s areas of interest are relationships and communication including blended families, issues within families, loss and other challenges.

Jackie Wybrow

Jackie brings with her experience in supporting adults.

Jackie has had experience working with a wide range of clients in her work including those who have experienced loss, bereavement and complex life challenges. Jackie also works with couples in relationship therapy with loss, communication, infidelity and other relational issues.

Jackie has a specialist interest in LGBQT and sexuality areas of counselling and brings this passion with her to Circle. Jackie also brings over 20 years experience working within the education sector so understands the issues that families and young people face in life.

Jackie also supports adults who are helping elderly parents transition into care, this important and difficult time of life presents emotional challenges as adult children adapt to living losses.

Adults, Adolescents

Carla Brown

Carla is our newest Counsellor to join the Circle! Carla supports adults and teenagers at Circle and brings her warmth and passion to our practice. Carla is a Level 4 practitioner.

Carla’s background in working for one of the biggest airlines in the world has allowed her to travel extensively and also develop her counselling skills as a crisis helpline supporter in the aviation industry. Carla provides support to airline crew following critical incidents and with other life challenges.

In her other counselling roles, Carla has successfully supported adults and young people at Circle and within secondary schools. Carla has an interest in attachment and family relationships and works supportively with loss, bereavement and other life challenges.

Tracey Lewis

Tracey is one of our counsellors who has studied her Level 4 Diploma in counselling with Langley Training. Tracey supports adults at Circle and brings her experience in other roles supporting those with mental health issues and loss.  Tracey brings experience from her work as a wellbeing practitioner in a prison setting supporting males with addiction and substance misuse. Tracey’s areas of interest include addiction, anxiety, relationship difficulties, depression and bereavement and loss.

Adults, Adolescents

Rob Carter

Following his clinical placement with Circle, Rob is staying with the team after completing his Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling at Langley Training. Rob supports adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, loss, self-esteem and other life challenges. He has worked in the charitable sector for a couple of decades and has been a trustee for a youth club and a local health charity. Rob brings a warm and empathic approach to his counselling and is passionate about creating a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences and move towards positive change.

Poppy

Poppy is one of our student counsellors studying her Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling with Langley Training. Poppy offers a compassionate space to adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, loss and other life challenges.

Poppy has a specialist interest in Neurodiversity and supporting clients as they find their voice.

Jen

Jen is one of our student counsellors studying her Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling with Langley Training in her second year of training. Jen offers a compassionate space to adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, loss and other life challenges.

Jen is passionate about helping you to find the ways that work for you in your life, to support you in finding a way through that allows you to be fully yourself.
