Supervision

Supervision is the key to a great practice

Supervision is a supportive space in which my aim is for you is to feel that you can bring yourself and your clinical work whilst feeling supported and appropriately challenged. I believe that trust and transparency are fundamental in this relationship and my hope would be that you feel able to bring your client work openly to this safe space.

I am a qualified supervisor and I bring my experience as a clinical manager to the supervisory relationship. I have managed and supported a counselling team in private practice and schools for the last five years and I have been a practising psychotherapist for ten years.

As a practitioner I have a specialist interest in adult work, couple therapy and child therapy. I have supported counsellors in their development from qualifying stage upwards as they establish themselves in practice. My working model is integrative incorporating person centered, Transactional analysis, CBT and Psychodynamic theories.

My own clinical experience has been in various sectors including, cancer charities, children’s centres, schools, social services agencies and private practice. My practice supports adults, couples, families and specialises in therapy with children aged 5 upwards.

My supervision is informed by the Hawkins & Shohet seven eyed model which is a relational and systemic model. I am also informed by the Integrated Developmental model by Stole berg & Delworth 2002.

I have supported practitioners in practice with relational aspects of therapy, safeguarding, procedural and professional issues and their own personal and professional development.

I have experience in supporting counsellors working with children aged 5 upwards and adult therapy. I have a specialist interest as a practitioner in anxiety, trauma, relationships and family work. I am a commissioned therapist with both Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire county councils and provide therapeutic services at their request. My private practice has been established for 10 years and supports a team of full time counsellors.

I believe in a supportive, reflective supervisory relationship in which you feel supported yet challenged to support your individual growth and development as a practitioner in your own right.

My aim is to support you in supporting your clients safely and ethically and my commitment to you is in building a trusting, transparent and warm professional relationship in support of your practice.

I also offer supportive supervision to other professionals within the education and health sectors.

Group Supervision

When minds come together, we can learn, reflect and grow.

Group Supervision

We also provide group supervision for newly qualified counsellors and experienced counsellors. Group supervision can be an extremely rewarding and reflective way to develop yourself and your practice.

With independent practice often feeling isolating, our clinical supervision groups provide a collaborative space to develop.
