Parent consultation 1 & 2

Two 60-minute sessions with Gayle to explore your child's history and whether therapy is the right path. £85 per session.

Matched to the right therapist

We match your child to the therapist best suited to their needs, age and personality.

Weekly therapy sessions

An initial block of six weekly, 50-minute sessions, creative, child-centred and led by your child.

Parent review session

After the initial block, we reflect on progress and plan next steps together.

"Over ten years as a child therapist, I've supported countless children with emotional and behavioural challenges. But what I've witnessed just as often is the silent struggle of parents, doing their very best with little guidance. When parents are empowered, children thrive." Questions from parents

We believe it's important not to rush children into therapy. The parent consultations allow us to fully understand your child's developmental history, current challenges and family context, so we can be confident that therapy is the right support and match them with the most suitable therapist.

You don't need to be certain, that's exactly what the parent consultation is for. If you've noticed changes in your child's mood, behaviour, sleep or school attendance, or they've experienced something difficult, it's always worth having a conversation with us.

Children don't always express themselves through talking, so our sessions use a range of child-centred approaches including play, creative activities, drawing and storytelling alongside conversation, led by the child at their own pace.

Sessions are confidential for children too, so they feel safe to talk openly. We will always keep parents informed about progress at review points, and will involve parents or carers if there are any safeguarding concerns.

Yes, this is a specialist area for our team. We offer affirming, neurodiversity-informed therapy for autistic children and young people with ADHD, adapting our approach to suit how each child thinks and communicates.

Yes, particularly for young people aged 12 and above. For younger children, in-person sessions in Tring are generally recommended to allow the full range of creative therapeutic approaches.

Getting started

Frequently asked questions

We offer an initial assessment session to mutually explore what you need and agree any next steps together, there is no obligation to continue.

This differs from person to person. Generally, up to 12 sessions is short-term work; longer-standing, deeper issues benefit from longer-term counselling, which we discuss together as needed.

We offer both, depending on your location and circumstances. We don't currently offer couple therapy online, only face to face.

Sessions are usually weekly, with biweekly available where appropriate. Adult sessions are 50 minutes, couple sessions 60–75 minutes, and child sessions 45 minutes.

Session fees are paid ahead of each session by invoice, with a pay-by-card link.

Anything discussed in sessions is treated as confidential, with limits where there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.

This is ultimately your choice. We always encourage an ending session and a planned ending to close our work together well.

"It's a scary thing trying to get help, but Circle took a lot of that anxiety and fear out of the equation." Circle client
